Merle joined Verdane’s Copenhagen team in 2022 as an investment director, with six years prior experience from private equity and M&A across the Nordics and UK. She previously worked as an investor at Axcel, focusing on technology and e-commerce companies. Prior to this, Merle worked as an associate in London at Goldman Sachs, in the TMT investment banking team with a focus on technology businesses. She is the founder and chairperson of the Danish not-for-profit organisation Women in Finance (‘Kvinder i Finans’).

At Verdane, Merle focuses primarily on existing holdings and new investments across Europe in companies and portfolio acquisitions that present a strategic opportunity, whilst having a digital angle or business model in the software sector.

Merle holds a BSc in International Business from Copenhagen Business School.
