HR Nordic continues its expansion through the acquisition of HR tech firm Talmundo

The Hague/Oslo โ€” HR Nordic, a Verdane-owned group providing cloud-based HR and recruitment software, has announced the acquisition of Talmundo, a leading European provider of employee onboarding solutions. The acquisition brings market leading onboarding software into HR Nordic Groupโ€™s product portfolio, and expands the groupโ€™s presence into Belgium, France, the Netherlands, and the UK. Talmundoโ€™s products will be integrated into HR Nordicโ€™s shared product portfolio.

HR Nordic aims to become a leading European talent platform, and the investment in Talmundo follows HR Nordicโ€™s recent investment in ReachMee, a leading provider of cloud-based recruitment solutions headquartered in Stockholm, Sweden.

Talmundo will expand through strategic investments in the DACH region and accelerated product development, including enterprise features, analytics and the companyโ€™s AI-powered onboarding โ€œChatbot.โ€ The firm will continue to operate under its own brand.

โ€œWith the backing of Verdane, weโ€™re building an HR tech powerhouse. We were very impressed with the quality of Talmundoโ€™s client portfolio and their onboarding offerings, which match our European ambition,โ€ explains Lars Ringdal, CEO of the HR Nordic. โ€œWe have a great cultural fit with the team at Talmundo.โ€

Since its launch in 2014, Talmundo has quickly become a key player in the European employee onboarding space. Over 150 employers currently use Talmundoโ€™s onboarding solution, including multinationals such as Engie, Lufthansa, TUI and BNP Paribas. More than 35 000 new hires across Europe have been onboarded using the companyโ€™s experience-driven platform.

โ€œWeโ€™re pleased to welcome Talmundo into Verdaneโ€™s family of software portfolio companies and look forward to supporting the group in accelerating growthโ€, says Johnny Rindahl, Partner at Verdane.

Founder and CEO of Talmundo Stijn de Groef, who himself has reinvested a significant amount into the HR Nordic group as part of the acquisition agreement, will continue in his day-to-day role as CEO and will also join the groupโ€™s management team.

โ€œWe are laser focused on helping our clients to update outdated onboarding processes with the latest technology, allowing them to engage new employees like never before,โ€ says de Groef. โ€œWe have been searching for a new partner as we seek to grow even faster and weโ€™re excited to partner with HR Nordic.โ€
