Hiring: Sustainable Logistics and Sourcing Manager

Verdane is looking for a Sustainable Sourcing and Logistics Manager to join its in-house team of operational experts (Verdane Elevate). What you would be doing:

This is a new role and we will develop and form it together, however a few areas we expect you to work with include:

  • Developing and using best practice benchmarks for cost-efficient and sustainable logistics processes (warehouse operations, freight, packaging, supply chain management, etc.). Given Verdane’s strong presence in e-commerce, you will likely spend significant time working in this sector
  • Supporting the investment teams during due diligence to evaluate logistics/supply chain operations and identify quantifiable improvement opportunities
  • Supporting portfolio companies in facilitating procurement processes/tenders
  • Helping portfolio companies to analyse their logistics/sourcing efficiency, as well as designing and executing robust and sustainable supply chain management and logistics strategies and operations

To be successful in this role we would see that you have

  • 4-6 years experience working with logistics and supply chain questions and data, ideally also in a sustainability context
  • Experience can come from a wide variety of companies, from consultancies to scale-ups or industrial leaders, but you should have an understanding of the best practices in logistics and can identify and improve operations through data (especially related to e-commerce)
  • Good analytical skills and get energy from working with numbers
  • A degree in business/engineering, preferably with a focus on logistics and/or supply chain
  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken required, a Nordic language or German is an advantage
  • The role location is flexible and can be anywhere we have an office (Stockholm, Oslo, Helsinki, Berlin, Copenhagen, London)
